A Moment of Peace

Allie and Dave Alter can tell you firsthand how important your support is. Their lives changed in an instant when their twins were born many weeks too early.

Their first baby, Reese, lived about an hour, and the second one, Jada, spent over three months at St. David's Women's Center of Texas as she worked hard to grow strong and healthy enough to be sent home just before Thanksgiving, 2009.  

With a three month struggle ahead of them, the last thing Allie and her family expected was to find a moment of peace. However, they found just that at the Ronald McDonald Family Room in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
